BIOLOGICAL POLYGON

The BIOLOGICAL POLYGON is determined by the crown’s emergence profile, both horizontal and subsequently vertical, that will occupy these spaces, allowing the tissues to remain stable over time. These concepts were then transferred to implantology. 

Initially, the construction of converging vertical abutments allowed for increased space, thus also creating a BIOLOGICAL IMPLANT POLYGON for the growth of peri-implant soft tissue and a new implant-prosthetic relationship. 

The final evolution of these concepts was the creation of a convergent implant with a neck of different heights. This not only increased tissue volume, but also allowed the implantabutment junction to be shifted coronally,distancing bacteria from the bone crest. 

The IL® implant is the result of this long journey that has always been focused on respecting the tissue BIOLOGY. Numerous published scientific studies indicate that we are on the right path.
