Bodyblade® blades act to tap the socket, thereby reducing insertion torque. In post-extraction implantology, they function like hooks, gripping the (asymmetrical) socket wall; this allows the implant to maintain the trajectory set by the surgeon, preventing deviation caused by lower bone resistance in less compact or stable areas or by the void of the extraction socket itself.
