EXTERNAL HEX SYNUS/TFE

EXTERNAL HEX SYNUS/TFE

The SYNUS implant features a cylindrical external profile and an external hexagon connection platform, the size of which varies according to the implant diameter. The morphology of the implant body is cylindrical in the coronal/mesial portion and slightly conical in the apical portion, in order to facilitate insertion into the bone site. The threaded core, on the other hand, has a conical configuration. Specific grooves, known as Body Blade, are also present, providing the implant with self-tapping properties. The Synus model is available in various nominal diameters and lengths to meet different clinical requirements.

The TFE implant shares the same prosthetic line while maintaining its own surgical kit.
The Synus and TFE implants are supplied securely connected to the Mounter, allowing sterility to be maintained and preventing direct contact with the implant. The Mounter facilitates handling, positioning, and insertion of the dental implant into the predefined bone site, ensuring correct three-dimensional orientation during the surgical phase.

The hexagonal connection provides high-precision engagement, while the reduced height ensures minimal intraoral bulk and facilitates clinical procedures.
To remove the Mounter, use the dedicated TDR128C manual driver for the Synus and TDR12C for the TFE.

The implant platform features an external hexagon connection with a 2.7 mm wrench size and a height of 0.7 mm.

For implants with a diameter of 3.25 mm, the platform is instead equipped with a hexagon with a 2.55 mm wrench size.

The implant collar, with a polished machined finish, features a slightly tapered truncated-cone shape.

The standard height is 1.15 mm, reduced to 0.5 mm in implants with a diameter of 3.25 mm.

This configuration promotes stabilization in the cortical bone and is particularly advantageous for implants requiring maxillary sinus elevation.

The thread profile is asymmetrical trapezoidal (“sawtooth”) and designed to optimize the distribution of occlusal loads to the bone.

Thread valley depth progressively increases from the coronal to the apical portion in relation to the tapered core, improving thread engagement in areas with lower-density cancellous bone.

In combination with the tapered core, this configuration induces mild peripheral osteodensification of the osteotomy, promoting a significant increase in primary implant stability.

The Body Blade® grooves on the threaded body provide the implant with a strong self-tapping capability, facilitating insertion even in D1/D2 bone characterized by high density and mineralization.

Their distinctive hook-shaped design helps maintain the direction established by the surgeon, even in irregular post-extraction sockets, preventing the implant from following the path of least resistance within the bone.

The implant root surface undergoes a double acidetching treatment designed to optimize wettability and adhesiveness and to promote optimal osseointegration.

In addition, micro-roughening treatments enhance surface energy and wettability, encouraging increased bone-to-implant contact with positive effects on secondary stability.

In short implants with standard diameters (>3.25 mm), the surface treatment is applied to the entire implant body, including the collar.
