At our production headquarters in Padua, we utilize a state-of-the-art SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) equipped with EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy) to analyze implant surfaces. The surface roughness and cleanliness of Leader Medica dental implants—both essential for maximizing osseointegration—are rendered predictable and repeatable through processing and surface treatments carried out according to Leader Medica’s Certified Protocol.
SEM-EDS verification images showing Surface Roughness (at 8,000x magnification) and Surface Cleanliness (via energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy) are produced in-house by Leader Medica and provided to clinicians alongside the dental implants belonging to the verified batch.
The results achieved through the processing and treatments under Leader Medica’s Certified Protocol yield excellent standards of surface roughness, purity, and cleanliness:
- A surface roughness characterization (Ra) of 1.3 μm;
- Absolute surface purity and cleanliness (0.00% Aluminum, 0.90% Carbon) across a verified sample size of 5,000 dental implants.
