Convergent Evolution
The convergent-neck implant is available with two internal hexagon prosthetic connections:
IL® - 3.40 PROSTHETIC PLATFORM CONNECTION
IL WIDE® - 3.80 PROSTHETIC PLATFORM CONNECTION

The Ø 3.80 mm connection features an internal hex and a 0.32 mm external collar, which increases the mechanical stability of the connection and reduces reduces the stress on the prosthetic screw.

IL WIDE® also favors a more harmonious emergence profile because the connection platform is wider in the cases of posterior teeth prothesis and that improves aesthetics and functionality.

The convergent prosthesis
The convergent evolution takes shape through the combination of IL WIDE® implant and the UNICO® abutment, specifically designed to generate the intramucosal convergent effect on this implant line, but applicable across all so-called bone level Leader Medica implant lines, regardless of the connection type. 

UNICO® is designed with an interface portion to ensure stable fit with the fixture, a intramucosal portion shaped to recreate an intramucosal emerging profile, and an upper portion suitable for connection to a prosthetic superstructure. 

Its geometry, designed to preserve the biological width according to the principles of B.O.P.T.®, allows bone level osseointegrated implants to be transformed into intramucosal prosthetic configurations without having to surgically replace the implant. This results in a perfect solution for promoting soft tissue healing, stabilizing the mucosal seal, and optimizing the distribution of masticatory forces.
